Here on Margarita you will see some very stange stuff, Stuff that you're not used to seeing in North America. Lots of these things would land you right in jail in the States. Some will make you laugh, some will make you cringe, some will make you question if you really did just see that, and some you just will not even understand anyway. You will see motorcycles towing cars, motorcycles pushing cars, cars pushing motorcycles, and cars towing motorcycles. You will see families of five on motorcycles doing 60 mph including very small infants, you will see whole familys on a single bicycle, you will see bicycles being towed by cars or motorcycles, you will see one kid on a scooter doing about 30 mph and his right foot is stuck straight out on the seat of his friends bike and he's pushing him at about 30 winging around corners, you will see cars with no doors right beside very expensive bmws. These same cars that have no doors will also sometimes have in dash dvd players and pumping systems, you will see people drinking whole bottles of rum while driving right beside the police. You will see people with building materials attached and hanging from the axles of their car, in some cases dragging on the ground, you will see children holding on to the bumper of cars dirt skiing down dirt roads, you will see dogs stuck together, other dogs getting stuck together, you will see horses, cows, goats, dogs, cats, owls, lizards, and an occasional monkey on the road, you will see dogs on walls, dogs on roofs, walls on dogs, kids on dash boards kids on roofs of cars and on the hood of the car as well, and if the locals have a bag of ice it rides on the hood of the car, half the cars do not have brake lights but instead they put their hand out the window, but the do have flashing strobe lights instead of headlights. |
